YPD Committees
To ensure the progression of YPD as a powerful and empowering group, five distinct sub-committees are the heart of YPD. This community of talented individuals is dedicated to making Dubuque an attractive place to live, work and play through five areas: professional development, community service, relationship building, marketing, and social and cultural opportunities.
Committees typically meet once a month and are a great way to not only get involved, but to take part in developing YPD’s future. Share your skills and creativity by getting involved with any of the following committees:
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The Professional Development Committee develops, connects and empowers young professionals through opportunities and resources to enhance professional development and businesses success.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee reaches out to new YPD members, connects the members of the organization, and recruits members to actively participate in YPD.

COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEE
The Community Service Committee is dedicated to providing quality community service opportunities to YPD with a focus on young people and their families in Dubuque.

MARKETING COMMITTEE
The Marketing Committee concentrates on crafting the message and identity of YPD, and creates new ways to reach current members, possible members and sponsors for YPD.

SYMPOSIUM COMMITTEE
The Symposium Committee brings passion and energy to Iowa's premier young professional development conference. Time commitment lasts from early spring to the Symposium in November, and different committees will have different time commitments during that period. The sub-committees include financial, event setup, logistics, marketing, publicity, and registration.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Executive Committee members are elected as the voice of those not on committees and they maintain the YPD vision, finances, strategic planning, committee communication and other duties as needed.

STEERING COMMITTEE
The Steering Committee, the leading body of YPD, is made up of two co-chairs from each of the five sub-committees, plus the Executive Committee. To contact a Steering Committee member, please see the above contacts.
COLLEGE COMMITTEE
College Chapter: The college committee is responsible for coordinating efforts to organize a college chapter of YP Dubuque on all area higher education campuses and facilitate programming tailored more specifically to student members of the organization.
